  from Erik Johnson

Great site, I stumbled upon it quite by accident looking for a picture of my R100. I noticed that our Battle Creek, Michigan club is listed on your United States club list but it only goes to mail. I was wondering if you could update it with our new website http://www.bcbmwclub.com/index.htm, I'd apprecieate it.

Keep up the great work and keep the shiny side up!

» R1100 S «
  from LORNE SEGUIN

I am having difficulty in finding info about my bike. It is a 2004 R1100S that came originally from California and is now in Canada. The paint is mainly yellow but doesn't match any photos I've seen. My main question is, do I have to take of the fairing to get at the battery.

Thanks anyone

I think your site is brilliant. The most unusual information is there such as seat heights! I am about to get another BM and as I am not as tall as most, knowing the seat heights is really useful.

» New Visitor from Bathurst NSW, Australia «
  from Wayne Talbot

Thanks for a very informative site. I have just acquired a 1986 K75S from Japan with only 2,142 kms on the clock. It has not been well looked after so I am stripping it back to clean it, cut and polish the painted bits, refresh all fluids, lubricate everything in sight, and as best as I can tell, the mileage looks genuine. The tank internals are unbelievably bad, particularly the fuel pump dampener rubber which has the consistency of gooey gelatine, but the fuel pump still works so hopefully the injectors won't be clogged. Thank god for an aluminium tank. A large amount of TLC, new battery, two new tyres, and it should be back on the road in about a month.

» Introduction «
  from John Cutts

Hello, my name is John Cutts and for my sins live in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
I am the proud owner of a R100RS of 1981 vintage with only 42000 miles of usage. 10000 by me in 11 years of ownership. Not a lot, but shortly after purchase my son started racing and that financially curtailed my own riding opportunities. Somebody had to sponsor him!!
I am now getting back into riding and with retirement looming after christmas, hope to be extending that mileage considerably.
The site looks very informative. I have already identified the colour scheme of my bike as one of my sons friends has offered to give it a makeover fo free.
Hope to be sharing peoples experiences and ideas in the future.

I have found the VIN numbers and specs for my four BMW bikes on this site. They are a 2004 R1150RT, 1978 R100RS, 1969 R69S and an 1953 R68. The R68 is in boxes and being brought back to life. It would be wonderful to have a registry of the motorcycles that are running and where they are. I have truly enjoyed this site, please keep it up...

» Nice site «
from Mike Johnson - West London, UK

Yesterday hauled my 1988 R80RT out of the garage and cleaned it. It hasn't been ridden since April 2001 for the want of a new battery, left hand coke cable and probably a new exhaust. While the stainless steel doesn't rust it has started to crack around the mounting points. So tonight I 'Googled' R80RT to see if I could find the spares and what it's likely to cost. Found this site while looking and spent half an hour going through the pages. Needless to say it's now bookmarked for a longer look some time soon.
